Household overindebtedness

What is overindebtedness? It is a situation in which a person is no longer able
to repay their debts (loan repayments, overdrafts,
rent, other bills, etc.). They can then ask for help
from the community by making use of a specific
procedure: they can apply for assistance from the
household debt commission, whose secretariat is
provided by the Banque de France.
